Should I ask that good care be taken with my property when loaning a cot to someone
l have lent a cot to a mother at play group that l do not know that well
but seems to be with the bare essentials... l offered it to
her last week as her baby is 2 weeks old.the bub will be ni the cot in 3
months.This week when l saw her she said she wanted in now...ok...
/> Her husband came to pick it up shoved it in the car l saw bits of
the timber shaving flying off the cot and l cringed thinking what have l
done we are very particular with our things Have l the right to send her a txt to say please treat my cot with care!! any suggestions please.. please no smart arses aroundAnd l hope no one comes back with well you should have not lent it to her..l like to help but l thought there would have been some respect for other peoples property
I think you have done a very generous thing, and good for you,
I personally never would have offered, because I know those things do get
mistreated and when the babies stand up and get teeth they tend to bite
the bars. If I was you I would tell her she can only loan it for a short
time as your sister in law/sister/friend (just make it up) is having a
baby soon and wants to borrow it.
if you think you have to say that and you care about your
property. it may be best not to lend it to them.
Yes you absoultely do! You could even say something along the
lines of.''It would be really appreciated if you would make it a point to
take great care of our cot as I am sure you do with most of your things as
we'd like to be able to use it for our next baby too! :)''
It is firm and kind and you're also paying them a little compliment so it
lightens the air.
yeah ask her to take good care of it it is still your and they
have ho right to treat your property that way
oh and don't swear on here you get in trouble say r$e$
It is a tricky one. You will just have to try and be firm but
fair with them. After all, you are doing them a favor.
